About Unitarian Universalism

Welcome!

On this page is a very brief overview of Unitarian Universalism (UU).

If you haven't heard of UUs before, you are not alone. People often become Unitarians after having grown up in other religions.

It is a multi-faith religion that draws from many different world religions and beliefs, meaning that exploring and learning from other religions isn't just accepted, but encouraged! Because of the open and accepting nature of this belief system, it's very common for new Unitarians to say that they were UUs long before they heard about it.

They do not believe in the Trinity, original sin, or the need for salvation.

Instead they uphold the free search for truth and meaning while living in covenant and right relation through shared values and principles.
